Performers Application

Please read before applying

Karnidale 2020 is a festival of circus, comedy and cabaret held in January in Karridale, near Margaret River.

Before the festival we will conduct 2 weeks of classes which will be a joint project incorporating the Lunar Circus Summer school and the 2020 International training project.

The tutors for the classes become performers during the festival. We will employ some tutors for the two-week training program and others just for the festival.

During the training weeks’ tutors, will be teaching for 3 hours per day and the performing their shows/acts during the 2-day festival.

Everyone lives together onsite – tutors/performers, crew, volunteers and class participants. Accommodation for tutors/performers is supplied in the form of tents equipped with mattresses and bedding. Three healthy and delicious meals are provided each day.

A good time is always guaranteed in the fully licensed Dr Reg Bolton bar with great entertainment including cabarets at night during the training project.

Karnidale 2020 is not a big budget festival so therefore please do not expect to receive your full corporate show fee. Please state your required fee. It is however a fantastic experience for everyone involved and every year our performers relish the opportunity to meet and learn from other performers within the industry.

We are also well timed for performers wanting to continue to FringeWorld in Perth and the Adelaide Fringe Festival. We work closely with these festivals so please Email us if you need any further help with these applications.

We can confirm some acts before the final deadline but in general please expect confirmation of success of your application by 30th Sept 2019.

Please note that you MUST submit supporting material with your application, including a video link where we can view your act, at least two high-res images (1MB) and a show/performer blurb. If you have specific tech requirements, please also submit those.
